STUDIES
He's graduated with top votes at "S.Cecilia" Academy of Music in Rome with the Music Master Carlo Carfagna. He attends the regular course "Mozarteum" in Salzburg, studying Klassische Guitar with the Music Masters Eliot Fisk and Joaquin Clerch-Diaz and Barockmusik with the Music Master Nicolaus Harnoncourt. He studies counterpoint and composition with the Music Master Francesco Iannitti Piromallo.
CONTEST
First prize winner in 7 of the most important national competitions, winner of the International "Mauro Giuliani" Guitar Competition in '92.
CONCERTS
Subsequently, he started his concert career, which brings him to play amongst the most important concert seasons worldwide, including tours in the U.S.A. Latin America, Europe, Medio Oriente, Asia, Africa and Oceania. He has performed more than 900 concerts as a soloist, as well as accompanied by the orchestra, covering a broad repertory that included the "Concierto de Aranjuez" by Joaquin Rodrigo, the Concerto n.1 in D by Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco, the Concerto in A 0p.30 by Mauro Giuliani, the Concerto in D by Antonio Vivaldi and the last new concert in A by Francesco Iannitti Piromallo dedicate to Fabio Montomoli.

COLLABORATIONS WITH COMPOSERS
He constantly collaborates with several composers who have dedicated their work to him. The Music Master Francesco Iannitti Piromallo dedicated: the concert in A major for guitar and orchestra (2002), the sonata in D major for solo guitar (2007), the suite "la Porta del sole" for clarinet and guitar dedicated to the duet Giovanni Lanzini- Fabio Montomoli (2009) and "Tre fogli d'album" for solo guitar (2013). The Music Master Fabrizio Festa dedicated the suite "Paesaggi" for solo guitar.
RECORDS
He records 10 CDs by the label "S.A.M." in Lari (P.I.) (Audioglobe distribution), among which are included various first recordings as well as transcriptions of some important instrumentals operas. (Turina: La oraciòn del torero op.34, Cinco danzas gitanas op. 55 ect) all published in the collection personally directed and taken care of by "S.A.M. edition".
RADIO DIFFUSION
Numerous are the radio broadcasts where he has been the protagonist; Radio "Vaticana" records a program that was broadcast live on the classic channel. He has also recorded on Radio "Rai 2", on Radio "Helsinki" the concert "La Rondine" live and with national broadcast, on Radio Rete Toscana Classica, etc., Radio Beethoven (Chile)
TEACHING
Very active as a teacher holds Master Classes worldwide in the most important guitar Festivals.
Since 2003, is the artistic director and founder of the "International Guitar Festival Palmiero Giannetti" in Grosseto and of the "International Guitar Festival Alvaro Mantovani" Follonica (Italy).
ARTISTIC DIRECTION
Fabio Montomoli is the artistic director of the "Palmiero Giannetti International Guitar Festival" in Grosseto (Italy), the "Alvaro Mantovani International Guitar Festival" in Follonica (Italy) and the "Noches de Guitarra" International Festival in Santiago (Chile).
AWARDS
In 2014, he received the Paul Harris distinction for his artistic career and contribution to the dissemination of culture.
